5 Days Tanzania Northern Camping Safari

Day 1:   Tarangire National Park Game Drive

After morning breakfast at Arusha and safari briefing, we will depart for Tarangire National Park for a game drive through the vastness of Tarangire National Park. We will go for lunch and in the afternoon will conduct a game drive through the park followed by dinner and overnight at the  campsite FB)

Day 2: Serengeti National Park Game Drive

We pass through Olduvai Gorge (an historic site where a cradle of mankind, remains of early homids back in 2 million years ago where discovered.  We will thereafter continue with a game drive at the most unique and popular wildlife’s sanctuary in the world “The Serengeti National Park”. We make our way to Serengeti campsite for a dinner and overnight stay. FB

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti

Game drive will again continue in Serengeti National Park for the whole day. Throughout the year Serengeti and it partner game reserve Masai Mara in Kenya experience the World most famous and great Mammal Migration whereby we have 5 major events constituting this migration. 1) in February each year we have new babies born at Ndutu area (southern of Serengeti), 2) From May to December, The actual great migration which involve about 2-3 millions of wildebeest, 0.5 million of Zebra and 0.2 million of Thompson gazelle), 3) in September and October we have Mara River Crossing in Serengeti near Kenya border, Tanzania. We return to Serengeti campsite for dinner and overnight stay. FB

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

From Serengeti we go to visit the largest intact unfolded, unbroken volcanic crater in the world, the Ngorongoro Crater. The volcanic cone believed to had collapsed between 25 to 8 million year ago during Miocene era when there were great east Africa volcanicity in the area.

At about 2,000 feet deep and 12 miles in diameter, the Ngorongoro Crater has one of the largest diverse of wildlife species in Africa. About 30,000 to 40,000 animals make their home here making it the perfect place that you cannot afford to miss. You will probably see all or some of the ‘big 5’ group like Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Buffaloes and Leopards. Ngorongoro Crater is really the world-class attraction rated by UNESCO as the ‘8th Wonder of the World’. We then drive to twiga campsite for dinner and overnight FB

Day 5: Game Drive in Lake Manyara then drive back to Arusha.

After breakfast we will drive to the lodge and proceed to Lake Manyara for a game drive. The park is highlighted with lots of trees, baboos, greater flamingoes and tree climbing lions which are often spotted taking afternoon siesta on the branches.  Other animals common in this park includes the impalas, giraffes and buffaloes. Just at the entrance of this beautiful park is an underground water forest and a perfect habitat for the Blue monkeys, the baboons, bush bucks and the gigantic elephants sheltering in the sheds from the afternoon sun and devouring the green branches and twigs and herbs. The Hippo pools and at the Lake Manyara itself you will get the chance to observe the Hippos and the aquatic birds including the colorful Flamingoes, pelicans, Egyptian geese, cormorants, and many more. You will take lunch at one of the picnic sites in the national park. then In the late afternoon you will be drive to Arusha for  Overnight at  your hotel.
